With the first Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee meeting in February, work on the latest Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA) is officially underway. Every 5 years, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) publish the DGA – a set of comprehensive consumption recommendations for Americans. Whether we realize it or not, the guidelines impact our everyday lives, from nutrition standards in federal feeding programs, to how FDA considers labeling and even how individual companies, including the produce industry, talk about their foods. Join leading scientific and industry experts for an in-depth look at how the development process works, what the industry should expect, and how IFPA is ensuring members voices are heard during the drafting of the 2025-2030 DGA.
